Then you can show emotion, ask questions, and also answer their questions in a way that works for you. At that time you can also talk to them about how they can help support you, and what you need most during a difficult time.
Family members and friends should be supportive and caring throughout your fertility journey, especially during the holidays. There may be some that aren’t doing that job as well as you’d like, and it’s okay to take a break from parties and other get-togethers that include them. You can let them know you just need a break from some of those experiences, and that it’s not specific to them. You’ll be back around when you feel more comfortable with parties.
