After the Walk: How the San Diego Walk of Hope Brought a Community Together—and Why Fertility Institute of San Diego is Here for You

Under the warm San Diego sun, surrounded by hopeful hearts and determined strides, the 2025 San Diego Walk of Hope and RESOLVE united a powerful community of individuals, families, and providers all walking for one reason: to recognize the emotional weight of infertility and ensure no one walks that path alone.

Fertility Institute of San Diego (FISD) was honored to be part of this meaningful event, standing alongside warriors, advocates, and allies at our booth—offering compassion, education, and encouragement to everyone who stopped by.

A Day of Solidarity, Strength, and Support

The San Diego Walk of Hope, hosted by RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, is more than a physical walk—it’s a symbolic journey of resilience. Families shared stories of IVF success, hopeful parents held signs with messages of encouragement, and others walked in honor of those still navigating their infertility journey.

As Dr. Minoos Hosseinzadeh, founder and medical director of Fertility Institute of San Diego, states:

“Every journey is different, but no one should have to walk it in silence. Events like this remind us that community and hope are powerful forms of medicine.”

Our FISD booth became a hub of connection—offering free fertility resource guides, personalized consultation invitations, and one-on-one conversations with our team and we loved seeing some familiar patient faces who attended the event!

What National Infertility Awareness Week Means to Us

The San Diego Walk of Hope was perfectly timed with National Infertility Awareness Week 2025 (NIAW)—a week devoted to breaking the silence, amplifying awareness, and empowering conversations around infertility.

At FISD, NIAW is deeply personal. We see, every day, the strength and vulnerability of those facing infertility. We know the emotional toll, the complicated decisions, and the courage it takes to seek help.

Our participation in the Walk of Hope isn’t just symbolic. It reinforces our mission:

  • To provide individualized, one-on-one fertility care—where every patient is seen by Dr. Hosseinzadeh from start to finish
  • To foster a judgment-free, inclusive environment for all family types
  • To educate and empower patients with clarity, compassion, and clinical excellence

Moments That Mattered

Here are just a few standout moments from the event:

  • Shared Stories: We met countless brave individuals who opened up about their fertility journeys, from early diagnosis to successful transfers.
  • Community Conversations: Our team answered questions about fertility options, from egg preservation and IVF to surrogacy and donor eggs—emphasizing the range of infertility treatment options available.

Why This Matters

Infertility affects 1 in 6 couples, yet the infertility stigma persists. Events like the San Diego Walk of Hope—and awareness efforts like NIAW—are essential to normalizing the conversation and making space for vulnerability and validation.

Fertility support should be more than a buzzword. At FISD, we deliver it through:

  • Fertility education that demystifies complex options
  • Patient advocacy that puts your voice first
  • One-on-one care from a physician who sees you—not just your chart
  • Affordable treatment paths with flexible financing options

Dr. Hosseinzadeh explains it best:

“Infertility isn’t a diagnosis to hide from. It’s a chapter in your story. And like all powerful stories, you don’t have to write it alone.”

What’s Next?

While the walk is over, the work continues. We’ll keep supporting our community through:

  • Complimentary virtual consultations
  • Educational resources on fertility and reproductive health
  • On-site support for those starting their IVF journey, exploring third-party options, or seeking answers to long-standing reproductive concerns

Whether you’re actively pursuing treatment or just beginning to explore your fertility options, Fertility Institute of San Diego is here to walk beside you—every step of the way.
